资源简介:
This dataset includes downwelling irradiance data collected at night on the water's surface and daytime attenuation through the water column. Spectrally specific irradiance values were collected with a Biospherical Instruments Compact-Optical Profiling System (C-OPS) device to measure artificial light at night (ALAN) in Lake Washington, WA. This dataset consists of ALAN surface measurements, measurements of instrument noise for dark corrections, site locations, and downwelling irradiance levels through the water column at several sites in the lake. Additionally, this dataset includes bounding information on regions in the Lake Washington watershed that were grouped to assess trends in the VIIRS satellite measurements over time. These data were paired with planktivore depth distribution collected with hydroacoustics sampling at two sites, to assess light level and predation risk to planktivores at observed depths. Together, these data were used to assess regional trends in ALAN as measured by satellites and in-situ instruments, as well as to investigate the affect of ALAN on planktivores vulnerability to predation by piscivores.
