Whole genome sequencing of Arabis montbretiana Boiss

The annual species Arabis montbretiana Boiss (collected by Birol Mutlu, BM7968, voucher HEID809801, RK043 in 1) was grown under long day conditions. DNA was extracted from leaf tissue using either the DNeasy mini or maxi kit (Qiagen), checked for quality on an 1% agarose gel and quantified using a nanodrop photometer. The genome of A. montbretiana was sequenced using 2nd generation sequencing methods including Illumina paired-end/mate-pair sequencing with 180 bp,500 bp, 3kb (Cologne Center for Genomics) and 20kb insert size (Eurofins Genomics) libraries.
