Saccharomyces cerevisiae exhibits clustering dramatically greater than equivalent random networks. Protein interaction networks were constructed from various experimental, curated, and high-confidence Saccharomyces cerevisiae protein interaction datasets as cited. The mean clustering coefficient of equivalent random networks, Crandom, was calculated as described in Methods.
