资源简介:
Samples from Sites 42UT135, 42UT591, 42UT592, and 42UT636 in the Utah Valley
were examined for macrofloral remains. Two pollen samples and 13 botanic samples also were
examined from 42UT592. Site 42UT135 is a cave site located in American Fork Canyon.
Radiocarbon dates at this site range from 2000 BC to 500 BC. The remaining three sites
represent occupations dating to around AD 1400 on the shores of Utah Lake, with an earlier
occupation around AD 200 also noted at 42UT636. Pollen and macrofloral analyses are used
to provide information concerning plant resources available to and utilized by the occupants of
these sites.
