"Zum Schutz gegen die Sonne hat man für die Missionare eine Hütte gebaut. (Tauffeier.)" ("A hut built for the missionaries to protect them against the sun. (Baptism ceremony.)"). In the foreground a hut thatched with leaves. In front of the hut a desk. On the desk a tablecloth and a pitcher. Next to the hut people are sitting on a hill. Some of them have opened an umbrella.; Cf. photo no. 10393. -- Walter Marx (1898-1944) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine and served in Rungwe/East Africa from 1929 until 1939. He married Gertrud Rahlfs in 1929.
