资源简介:
The data included in this repository refer to a research project entitled: "Evaluation of a nurse-led narrative interview intervention with newly diagnosed cancer patients: a feasibility study".This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility and usefulness of nurse-led NI in the management of newly diagnosed cancer patients.
A mixed-method pilot study was conducted with pre- and post-intervention assessment, qualitative longitudinal data analysis and data triangulation. The Mini-Mental Adjustment to Cancer assessed adjustment to the disease, while the Psychological Distress Inventory investigated psychological distress. The qualitative analysis of the narrative interviews assessed the usefulness of the intervention.
We entered a data set comprising two folders, one with quantitative data on the questionnaires completed in the study (and described earlier) and a second folder with the thematic analysis of the interviews conducted at T1 and T2. The analysis involved defining units of meaning, then sub-themes and themes, and we present an overall dataset of analysis of all interviews at T1 and one of all interviews at T2.
The final quantitative and qualitative data are included in the manuscript.
For the quantitative data of the questionnaires, non-parametric tests were performed (as described in detail in the article) due to the small sample size.
For the qualitative data, the two thematic analysis tables at T1 and T2 were compared and the research team highlighted the main changes in significance when moving from T1 to T2. The results of this transition are presented in the results of the manuscript
