The study is aimed at identification and bioinformatic characterization of non-ribosomal biosynthetic pathways for bioactive compounds, especially cytotoxic lipopeptides, produced by the strain. The results will likely provide new insights into the biosynthesis of cyanobacterial lipopeptides and enable development of environmental monitoring tools for toxic lipopeptides.
