Global Crayfish Database of Geospatial Traits

This dataset provides a global, network-aware environmental trait database for freshwater crayfish (Decapoda: Astacidea). It integrates 115,191 georeferenced occurrence records from the World of Crayfish® (WoC®) platform with approximately 400 environmental variables extracted through the GeoFRESH framework, using the Hydrography90m river network at 90 m resolution. Environmental variables span climate, topography, soil, and land cover at both local (segment-level) and upstream (catchment-aggregated) scales. Following quality filtering, 65,957 records across 273 taxa from all three extant families (Astacidae, Cambaridae, Parastacidae) were retained for species-level statistical synthesis, yielding over 8,000 data points per taxon. Geographic coordinates are withheld under the WoC® community data protocol for species protection.
