In 2018, individuals born in the United Kingdom accounted for 1.48 million health care employees in the country. Although employees born in the UK had by far the largest share of the workforce, the number of workers born in the EU has increased by 68 percent, going from 74 thousand to 124 thousand between 2012 and 2018.
