Non-Photochemical Quenching (NPQ) data for Lake Tahoe and Clear Lake 2016-2022

Field chlorophyll a fluorescence and laboratory chlorophyll a measurements were collected at two endmember lakes (in terms of lake clarity and productivity) to develop a Non-Photochemical Quenching (NPQ) correction model. Several chlorophyll a fluorometers were deployed during each sampling event to collect high-resolution measurements. Coincident discrete water samples were collected during the experiment for subsequent laboratory chlorophyll a analysis. The sampling events occurred at Buckingham Park in Clear Lake (39.00°N, 122.75°W) and at Homewood in Lake Tahoe (39.09°N, 120.16°W). This data is associated with a Ph.D. dissertation chapter (Sharp, 2024) and a journal manuscript (in review).
