Young cycling KP-Cre/ZsGreen transgenic mice were ovariectomized and treated with silastic capsules containing vehicle or estradiol. 4 days later animals were terminated. Kisspeptin neurons were dissected by laser-capture microdissection. RNA-seq was performed by Illumina sequencing, data were analyzed in R.
