资源简介:
Central venous catheters (CVC’s) are very useful tools for the treatment of critically ill patients, and for patients who receive initial treatment in the Emergency Room. Ultrasound-guided (IJV) cannulation, one of the preferred central venous accesses, is recognized for decreasing rates of failure and mechanical complications. Certain parameters can act as predictors to determine the likelihood for this type of complications. The aim of this study is to determine the incidence and predictors of mechanical complications using IJV cannulation, especially when considering programmed versus emergent IJV cannulation by using a population from a third-level Hospital in Ecuador. This document contents the raw data set.
