Per-and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) detections in water and dragonfly samples collected in protected areas in the United States

We sought to address the prevalence of PFAS on protected lands and its geographic extent and to identify the ecologically relevant PFAS mixtures occurring in biota. To accomplish this, we leveraged a prominent monitoring and surveillance network in the US (the Dragonfly Mercury Project; DMP) to evaluate PFAS exposure across Federally protected lands.
