Ecological succession in the vaginal microbiota during pregnancy and birth studied by 16S rRNA gene sequencing

This project constitutes 144 samples (16S rRNA) from three different compartments (maternal vagina during birth, and fecal and airways of the 1-week old offspring), used for the study of vaginal microbial development during pregnancy and bacterial transfer during birth. Additional maternal vaginal data from pregnancy week 24 and week 36 can be found in PRJNA576765 and RJNA579012 respectively.The women can be matched on the variable dyad.
