Comparative Google Play Review Dataset of University LMS and Student Portal Mobile Applications

This dataset contains 5,259 Google Play user reviews of university learning management system and student portal mobile applications, combining Indonesian university apps with comparable apps from top-100 world universities in English-speaking countries. It covers 49 institutions and 54 mobile apps, with review-level information such as institution name, app name, Google Play URL, package ID, reviewer name, review title, review text, star rating, thumbs-up count, review date, app version, language, and app scope category. The dataset is useful for comparative analysis of student digital experience, LMS/mobile portal satisfaction, perceived service quality, usability problems, feature expectations, and legitimacy-related signals in higher education digital transformation. In the current composition, Indonesian apps account for 3,682 reviews with an average rating of 3.316, while top-100 world university apps account for 1,577 reviews with an average rating of 2.455, allowing cross-context comparison between Indonesian higher education apps and international benchmark institutions.
