The 𝛾-tubulin ring complex (𝛾TuRC) is the major microtubule nucleator in cells. The mechanism of its regulation is not understood. To understand the molecular basis of microtubule nucleation, we investigate the structure of 𝛾TuRC using crosslinking mass spectrometry.
