Raw Trait Data

Raw trait data collected: For the 143 trees identified in the plots to species level, I collated trait data from the most complete species descriptions available in the literature either found on the internet or the Kew Herbarium Library, from Floras, monographs, journals and specialist websites. For the remaining 140 species that could not be assigned to a named species in the original dataset, they were assigned to a genus as a morphospecies (Trethowan <i>et al.</i>, 2020). For the morphospecies, I collated trait data from descriptions of all the congenerics native to Sulawesi to subsequently impute missing trait values. In total, I collated the trait data for 622 species from 179 references dating from 1826-2024.
