Simulated Atmospheric Radon-222 Activity Concentrations from Phosphogypsum Stack Emissions in the Southwest of Spain (2017)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains simulated atmospheric radon-222 (²²²Rn) activity concentrations attributable to emissions from phosphogypsum (PG) stacks in Huelva, southwestern Spain, for 2017. The dataset comprises a NetCDF file containing simulated atmospheric radon activity concentrations in the 0–50 m layer above ground level and a GeoPackage containing three polygons representing the PG stack source areas, together with their monthly radon emission rates. The NetCDF file includes the variable CRn, expressed in Bq m⁻³, on a regular longitude–latitude grid with hourly temporal resolution. Timestamps are given in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The GeoPackage contains the monthly radon-222 emission rates for each source polygon, expressed in GBq h⁻¹. The simulated concentrations represent the contribution of PG stack emissions to atmospheric radon-222 concentrations, rather than total atmospheric radon concentrations from all sources. The dataset is intended to support the analysis of PG-attributable atmospheric radon concentrations and the assessment of radon inhalation exposure in the surrounding area. The dataset is associated with research assessing the annual effective dose due to radon inhalation from phosphogypsum stacks in southwestern Spain. Associated publication Lopez-Coto, I. (2026).
