Low and High Frequency time series of oxygen concentrations at Lake Piburg, Austria (2022-2024)
收藏资源简介:
Introduction: This repository contains the data and supporting files used to reproduce the analyses presented in the manuscript “Robustness of oxygen metrics to sampling frequency in a stratified lake” by Weniger and Sommaruga. The study compares dissolved oxygen dynamics and derived oxygen metrics from two datasets with different native sampling frequencies. The high-frequency dataset was derived from hourly HOBO sensor measurements. The low-frequency dataset was derived from monthly, manually sampled lake oxygen profiles. Both datasets are in 3 m resolution and were used to evaluate how sampling frequency affects layer-specific oxygen dynamics, hypolimnetic oxygen depletion rates, and annual duration of anoxia. The repository is intended to support transparency and reproducibility of the analyses. Content: High Frequency.csv:High-frequency dissolved oxygen dataset derived from sensor measurements.Low Frequency.csv: Low-frequency dissolved oxygen dataset derived from discrete water-column profiles. Column Description:- datetime/date: Date and time of observation.- year: Year of observation.- month: Month of observation.- day: Day of observation.- depth: Water depth below the lake surface (`m`).- o2/oxy: Dissolved oxygen concentration (`mg L⁻¹`).- oxy_sat: Dissolved oxygen saturation (`%`; low-frequency dataset only).- temp: Water temperature (`°C`).- volume: Water volume represented by the corresponding depth interval (`10³ m³`).
