Digital Archive from an Archaeological Evaluation and Excavation at The Charter, Gravesend Car Parks, Gravesend, Kent, 2021

This collection comprises images, site records, GIS data, spreadsheets, and reports from an archaeological evaluation and excavation at the Charter, Gravesend Car Parks, Gravesend, Kent undertaken by Wessex Archaeology in April and September 2021, in advance of the redevelopment of the site. The nine excavated trenches revealed medieval and post-medieval pits and postholes and structural remains dating to the 19th and 20th centuries. A further excavation was undertaken across two areas, and were defined by the boundaries of car parks to the north and south of Bank Street. An analysis of the data has been published on Internet Archaeology.
