First report on summer archaeal community composition in the eutrophic Jinhae Bay water columns of Korea

Marine archaea have been studied extensively to understand their roles in marine biogeochemical cycles and climate changes. The role of archaea in biogeochemical cycles in the Jinhae Bay (JB), which has been adversely affected by environmental problems, has received increased attention recently. However, the archaeal community composition in JB remains unknown. Here, for the first time, we aimed to investigate the 2018 summer archaeal community composition in the eutrophic JB water columns.
