Malting Barley Kernel Images (MaBaKI) database

The Malting Barley Kernel Images (MaBaKI) database includes classes of healthy grains and four classes of damaged or reduced-quality grains. Images of each class are compressed into separate zip files. The five classes consist of: Polowki.zip broken kernels (halves), Wybity.zip kernels with missing germs, ZielZadesz.zip green, undeveloped kernels and kernels darkened by rain, Zagrzybione.zip infected or sprouted kernels, and ZdroweOdmiany.zip healthy and good-quality kernels. The ZdroweOdmiany.zip file contains eight subdirectories, each representing a different variety of malting barley kernels. Each individual kernel in MaBaKI database is represented by six image files. The filenames of the files consist of a numeric code for the kernel identification and a letter, B or T, indicating whether the image was taken by the bottom or top camera. Files with the suffix log1 are rotated and cropped full-color images of the kernels. Files with the suffix log2 are masks indicating regions of interest. The color of the mask indicates the kernel side: red for the ventral side and green for the dorsal side. Files with the suffix log0 are used for verifying the alignment of images and masks.
