Expensive car owners spending extra money for travelling and parking to protect their car from damage on York University Campus

Hypothesis: a car owner who spends more money to buy their expensive car would be willing to spend more on car protection by travelling on the less busy toll highway and by spending more money to park in a garage. Prediction: 1. cars with a transponder would be more expensive.2. cars parked in the garage would tend to be more expensive. An independent t-test testing the presence and absence of transponders was found to be significant, where the cars with the transponders were the more expensive cars. Another t-test comparing the car price to the rate paid in a garage versus a parking lot was shown to have a significance, where the cars parked in the garage was more expensive than the cars parked in the parking lot. A box plot showed that the cars parked in the garage with the transponder had a more expensive price. Even though the study was significant, there were limitations and other influences that may have influenced the car owner’s decision of parking and the use of the transponder.
