This work tested the hypothesis that the academic performance of students in a distance learning course in Biological Sciences (PBS-CEDERJ) decreased during the COVID-19 pandemic in disciplines with and without practical activities. Performance was quantified via students' grades in PBS-CEDERJ disciplines in pre-pandemic years (2018 and 2019) and during the pandemic (2020 and 2021) years本研究验证了如下假设：新冠疫情期间，修读生物科学远程学习课程（PBS-CEDERJ）的学生，无论其修读的学科是否包含实践教学环节，其学业表现均有所下滑。学业表现通过对比疫情前（2018、2019年）与疫情期间（2020、2021年）学生在PBS-CEDERJ各学科的课程成绩进行量化评估。
