Australia Barley Malting Performance Aug 2025

AEGIC has developed an advanced micromalting technology called MultiMalter, which is different from conventional micromalters. The MultiMalter malts barley and other grains with up to six different malting protocols, while the conventional micromalters malt grains with only one protocol. Testing malting performance for new barley samples with up to six malting regimes can be completed in one week with the MultiMalter, while it takes six weeks by using conventional micromalters. We have used the MultiMalter to investigate the malting performance of the new barley samples including Cyclops, Titan AX and Minotaur. Our results show that these barley samples produce excellent malts when they are malted by using optimal malting regimes.
