Differential effects of pine wilt disease on root endosphere, rhizosphere and soil microbiome of Korean white pine

In this study, we compared the structures of microbial communities across three adjacent but distinct plant-soil compartments of root endosphere, rhizosphere soil and bulk soil of Pinus koraiensis that were either naturally infected by pine wilt disease or remained healthy. We aimed to examine the spatial distribution of belowground microbiome of this pine species in responses to natural occurrence of pine wilt disease.
