This dataset accompanies the article "Structural complexity and benthic metabolism: resolving the links between carbon cycling and biodiversity in restored seagrass meadows" submitted to Biogeosciences. The dataset includes benthic fluxes and biodiversity data in from bare sediments, restored <em>Zostera marina</em> and a natural <em>Z. marina</em> meadow collected in Gåsö (58.2325, 11.3984) between July 05 - July 20, 2022.
