Soil Health assessment using buried cotton underpants with the help of 1000 citizen scientists

Data from a citizen science project investigating soil biological activity using bureied cotton underpants together with 1000 Citizen scientists across Switzerland. Underpants were buried in soil of more than 900 sites for 1 and 2 months along with tea bags to calculate the Tea bag index (TBI). The usability of underpants decomposition as a soil health indicator was tested and compared to TBI. Laboratory soil analyses of all sites were also conducted.
