Mesocosm experiment examining microbial community response to three cyanobacteria algaecide treatments

Mesocosm experiments were used to evaluate the efficacy of hydrogen peroxide and amino acid (L-lysine) treatments for the control of harmful cyanobacterial blooms. Three treatment conditions (hydrogen peroxide, L-lysine, and a mixed treatment of both chemicals) were examined using naturally occurring microbial communities from a subtropical river in southwest Florida.
