This project investigates early embryonic transcriptome dynamics in the malaria mosquito Anopheles gambiae, a major vector of human malaria. Using a pre-zygotic sexing (PZS) system, we generated male- and female-biased embryo pools that were sequenced using short-read (Illumina) and long-read (Oxford Nanopore) RNA sequencing technologies. The resulting dataset captures sex-specific transcriptional dynamics and isoform diversity during early development, providing a comprehensive resource for studies of mosquito embryogenesis and early sex determination.
