BIOLOGICAL MECHANISMS UNDERLYING CELLULAR ADAPTATION
收藏资源简介:
Cellular adaptation is a fundamental biological process that enables cells to survive and function under changing environmental and physiological conditions. Cells continuously encounter various stressors, including hypoxia, nutrient deprivation, temperature changes, oxidative stress, and mechanical forces. In response, they activate adaptive mechanisms that modify cellular structure, metabolism, gene expression, and signaling pathways. This article reviews the key biological mechanisms underlying cellular adaptation, focusing on signal transduction, transcriptional regulation, metabolic reprogramming, and structural remodeling. Understanding these adaptive responses is essential for elucidating normal physiological processes as well as the pathogenesis of diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and neurodegeneration.
