Accurate pronunciation is a crucial aspect of effective English communication. Uzbek learners of English often experience persistent pronunciation difficulties due to differences between their native language and English. This study identifies common pronunciation problems among Uzbek EFL learners and examines the impact of mother tongue interference. Data were collected from 30 undergraduate students through reading tasks and spontaneous speaking activities, and analyzed using error analysis focusing on vowels, consonants, stress, and intonation. The results indicate that mother tongue influence significantly affects pronunciation, highlighting the need for targeted instructional strategies in EFL classrooms
