Galveston Bay benthos and chemistry data, 24 March 1972 to 11 August 2015

This dataset contains benthic invertebrate water column community structure and chemistry data from March 1972 to August 2015 in Galveston Bay, Texas. Benthic organisms are ideal bioindicators for examining long term trends within a bay and between the different segments of the bay because they are fixed in place and respond to environmental influences. The water data was used to identify estuary conditions related to freshwater inflow.
