资源简介:

This dataset underlies the survey reported in Section 2 of a narrative review of thecontact needle technique, a non-insertive Japanese acupuncture method. Methods. The Japanese-language literature was searched in the Ichushi-Web databaseusing the terms sesshokushin, sesshokushinpō and shonishin, supplemented by a handsearch of published books. From 16 sources, 76 discrete non-insertive methods wereextracted. The search was performed in 2018. Scope note. Of the 76 methods, 44 were labelled "contact needle" (sesshokushin) intheir source. The figure of 22 distinct instruments reported in the review refers tothat subset of 44; across all 76 entries the number of distinct instruments is 42. Columns. English (romanized) columns are paired with Japanese columns reproducing theoriginal wording of the sources. Blank cells in the columns for the insertion hand, the pressing hand, the target region and supplementary notes indicate that the sourcegave no description, not that the item does not apply. Files. nakamura_survey_dataset.csv (UTF-8), nakamura_survey_dataset.xlsx, andREADME_dataset.md.
