Samples of DIY Particle Sampling Papers (PSPs) for Experiments Coducted in Oslo,Norway

This dataset contains high-resolution photographs of petroleum jelly-coated Particle Sampling Papers (PSPs) used in a low-cost image-based approach for PM10 detection. The images were collected as part of a citizen science campaign conducted in Oslo, Norway, across six urban and roadside monitoring locations. Each PSP was exposed to ambient air for one week and later photographed under controlled lighting for image processing and analysis. The dataset supports the validation and calibration of automated particle detection algorithms and contributes to research on accessible, low-cost air quality monitoring methods. Use Case:The images are intended for research in environmental monitoring, computer vision applications in air quality assessment, and reproducibility in citizen science deployments.
