资源简介:
These data relate to the equipment and the main results obtained from the work entitled: Optimization by response surface methodology of biodiesel production from Podocarpus falcatus oil as Cameroonian novel non-edible feedstock. These are original results obtained on a laboratory scale by techniques suitable for the production of liquid biofuels. The work elaborated in this article concerns the application of a mathematical model to the optimization of the experimental parameters for the transesterification of the production of biodiesel from the oil of Podocarpus falcatus. These parameters include temperature, the reaction time and the alcohol/oil molar ratio, and the optimization process was carried out by the three-factor Box-Benhken (BBD) design using Response Surface Methodology (RSM). Physicochemical characterization by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (IR-TF) and UV visible spectroscopy, showed that biodiesel from Podocarpus oil consists mainly of methyl esters and that its properties are similar to the ASTM standards for diesel. The data relate to the raw material, the methodology followed to obtain the results and the techniques for characterizing the biodiesel obtained. The work was funded by the University of Dschang.
