Harvested area for cassava in Ghana 2009-2021

In 2021, the harvested area for cassava in Ghana reached roughly one million hectares, up from around 9.95 thousand hectares in the previous year. Moreover, in the given period, the smallest area used for cassava production was registered in 2012 at 868.6 thousand hectares. Overall, as of 2021, roughly 22.7 million metric tons of cassava were produced in the country. The root is one of the main crops grown by farmers in Ghana.
