This dataset contains the ground vibration test (GVT) results for a 1:3 scaled Diana 2 glider UAV. The test was conducted with the glider suspended using elastic bands to simulate free-free boundary conditions, and the structure was excited at multiple locations using a modal hammer.Structural responses were measured across the airframe using:Inertial measurement units (IMUs) capturing tri-axial accelerations and angular ratesStrain gauges placed at key structural points on the wings and tail measuring bending and shear strains<br>The data was acquired using a custom-built instrumentation system developed specifically for the glider UAV. To validate the results and the accuracy of the integrated acquisition system, a reference system with additional accelerometers was installed on the airframe surface during the test.This dataset includes:Frequency response functions (FRFs) for all sensors (accelerometers, gyroscopes, and strain gauges)Experimental modal analysis results, including estimated modal frequencies, damping ratios, and mode shapes for modes up to 70Hz.<br>A finite element (FE) model of the glider was created and tuned using the identified modes, enabling comparison and validation of the estimated structural dynamics, particularly the rotational mode shapes.The modal analysis was performed using Siemens Testlab 2021. The FRFs and mode estimation results are provided both in proprietary (.lms) format and in standard Universal File Format (.unv) to ensure compatibility with a wide range of post-processing tools.
