Plasmodium Infection induces gene expression changes in spleen lymphocytes

Plasmodium infection induced trained immunity in mice. As splenomegaly is obvious upon Plasmodium infection, we aim to determine whether the the protective effect of plasmodium-induced trained immunity is due to the effector function induced by splenomegaly. Overall design: Mice were infected with Plasmodium yoelii for 4 weeks and subjected to CLP-induced sepsis for twenty-four hours. Spleen were harvest and the total RNA were extracted for RNAseq analysis.
