资源简介:

The dataset was used in the scientific article entitled "Fully passive siphon-driven salt removal surpassing diffusion limits in solar distillation", available at https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jclepro.2026.148137. It includes both the experimental results used to validate the analytical model and the corresponding analytical predictions. The investigated prototype is a fully passive siphon-driven salt removal system designed to overcome diffusion limitations in solar distillation. The dataset is divided into two parts: experimental results and analytical results. The experimental section contains two sets of data. The first quantifies the effective heat absorption, a key parameter for the analytical model. The second provides data for validating the hydraulic and thermal differences, based on the mass evolution of the beaker during operation. The modeling section provides the analytical predictions and the MATLAB scripts used to generate the figures. It includes: (i) time evolution of hydraulic head difference (Delta z_d) and rinse number (n_R); (ii) comparison between diffusion-only and siphon-flushing salinity in the evaporator (Figure 5); (iii) parametric maps of log10(Delta z_d per time) and log10(n_R per time) as functions of absorbed irradiance, disposal-pocket to footprint area ratio, and the product porosity*thickness (Figure 6); and (iv) geometric gain maps as functions of H/L and DeltaL/L (Figure 7).
