The database includes all the data collected during our studies on neonatal pain in 100 full term newborns. The Neonatal Infant Pain Scale and a multichannel near-infrared spectroscopy device (Hitachi ETG -00) were used to assess, respectively, the infant behavioural response and cortical response to a painful stimulation (a routine heel prick for metabolic screening). Such data wer published in 2015 (Bembich S, Cont G, Baldassi G, Bua J, Demarini S.
