Lepisosteus osseus isolate:NS-035 Genome sequencing and assembly

A reference genome of Longnose gar for evolutionary genomic studies. The deep phylogenetic divergence of these species along with their lack of a duplicated genome (relative to the over 30,000 species of teleosts) makes them critical for understanding the vertebrate gene homology and early evolution. This genome is part of a project to assess the origin and diversification of vertebrate immune receptors.
