UAV footage of Merino sheep in South Africa

This datasets comprises aerial footage of Merino sheep captured by a UAV. This dataset includes both image and video data. The video dataset consists of both a development and a testing dataset. The dataset was collected over a period of 11 months in two locations in South Africa at a height of 30 m above ground. A DJI Mavic Air 2 was used for data collection. The onboard camera has a 0.5-inch CMOS sensor with a width of 13.2 mm and the lens has a focal length of 8.8 mm. The images were captured at a resolution of 4000 x 3000 while videos were captured at a resolution of 3840 x 2160 and 1920 x 1080 at 30 fps. The image dataset comprises 125 images, totaling 4848 individual instances of sheep. On the other hand, the video dataset includes a development set with 19 videos (4521 unique frames) and a testing set with 10 videos (3045 unique frames). One video containing 250 frames can be excluded from the dataset due to inconsistencies in data representation and blurry frames.本数据集包含由无人机（UAV）采集的美利奴绵羊航拍影像，涵盖图像与视频两类数据，其中视频数据集分为开发数据集与测试数据集两个子集。 本数据集的采集工作于南非两处地点开展，采集周期为11个月，采集时无人机距地面高度为30米。数据采集设备为DJI Mavic Air 2无人机，其机载相机搭载0.5英寸CMOS图像传感器，传感器宽度为13.2毫米，镜头焦距为8.8毫米。图像采集分辨率为4000×3000；视频采集分辨率包含3840×2160与1920×1080两种，帧率均为30帧/秒。 图像数据集共包含125张图像，总计标注有4848只独立绵羊个体。视频数据集则包含19个视频组成的开发集（共计4521张唯一帧），以及10个视频组成的测试集（共计3045张唯一帧）。由于存在数据表征不一致及画面模糊的问题，一段包含250帧的视频可从本数据集中移除。
