Abundance of invertebrate taxa in intertidal stands dominated by seaweeds and mussels in Nova Scotia, Canada

This dataset describes the density (number of individuals per dm²) of invertebrate taxa found in replicate plots (100 cm² in area) fully covered by either canopy-forming algae (<em>Chondrus crispus</em>) or mussels (<em>Mytilus</em> spp.) in wave-exposed rocky intertidal habitats just outside of Duncans Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada, surveyed between late September and early October of 2021.
