Aimed to investigate adverse effects of different dietary fatty acid pattern on food allergic reactions, pregnant females and weaned juvenile BN rats were subjected to five distinct dietary patterns with different fatty acid contents, which included high medium-chain fatty acid group (MC), high long chain saturated fatty acid group (LCS), high monounsaturated fatty acid group (LCM), high n-6 polyunsaturated fatty acid group (N6LCP), high n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid group (N3LCP), and ovalbumin sensitized group (OVA). Subsequently, the allergic symptoms and intestinal flora of the juvenile rats were compared after sensitizing and challenging with OVA.
