Foreign tourists accommodated in Romania 2020-2023, by type of establishments

Over 2.1 million foreigners were accommodated in tourism establishments in 2023 in Romania. Hotels were by far the most demanded, having 1.7 million foreign tourists in 2023, followed by apartments and rooms for rent and tourist boarding houses with roughly 153 and 76 thousand foreign tourists respectively.
