Consumption of films and serials on TV India 2022, by language

A survey conducted in January 2022 revealed that about 54 percent of the respondents watched films aired on television channels primarily in Hindi in India. A similar trend was followed in the consumption of TV serials. A fair share of respondents also opted to watch films and serials on TV in other languages. Only about one percent of the respondents watched films and serials in English in the country during the given period.
