Humanized lung implant model of Staphylococcus aureus infection

We investigated the utility in using a humanized mouse model of infection with autologous lung tissue implanted into the mice. The immune response to S. aureus was investigated along with the response of S. aureus to this tissue environment. Overall design: RNA-seq analysis of human lung implants in humanized mice before and after infection with S. aureus. S. aureus gene expression in planktonic vs in human lung implants.
