Pseudomonas sp. FEN, a siderophore-producing pseudomonad, was isolated from the slightly acidic, Fe- and organic matter-rich Schlöppnerbrunnen fen located in the Fichtel mountains in Northern Bavaria (Germany). In this study, whole genome-sequencing of the isolate was performed using the Pacific Biosciences (PacBio) RSII platform.
