The purpose of this research is to explore various closed-loop control strategies for positioning an electrical conductor in 3D space. The mechanism for control is the non-contact application of oscillating magnetic fields, which induce eddy-currents in the conductive samples and an opposing field for manipulation. Position data was collected by calibrated cameras that allow for sample triangulation in the workspace, where the sample was detected in each image frame via an object detection algorithm. Included in the data is the applied coil currents used to generate fields (both the requested currents and the reported 'telemetry'), as well as the requested forces and target trajectories.
